The costly call

A wasted fog night is a call-back next week

A fog night that goes calm or cold is product on the street and a call-back next week, and a perimeter service rained off before the last stop dries is a free re-service. A forecast's rain chance doesn't say whether your label window or your last stop holds.

How it works

From your place to an answer

  1. Add your territories

Drop a pin on each territory your techs and trucks cover.

  2. Set your product and route

Pick your fogging product and set your route length, stops and rainfast hours.

  3. See what you can run

See which nights you can fog, which days every stop stays on, and what would stop you.

The services it times

  • ULV fogging route

Truck or backpack ULV adulticide while mosquitoes fly and the fog stays low, dusk to dawn. AFPMB Technical Guide 13: inversion and neutral conditions "occur after sunset and last until a few hours after sunrise". Set to the Anvil 10+10 ULV label (1 mph, above 50 °F), TG13 cap 10 mph.

Questions

Asked before you start

How is this different from a weather app?

A weather app shows one forecast and a rain chance per hour. This checks each service against its label limits and your rainfast time in each of up to 146 forecast runs and tells you how many hold.

Can I keep a record of my calls?

Yes. Log a fog or spray decision and the decision log keeps the odds, the forecast wind and temperature and your note for that territory. Export it to CSV.

Does it know about inversions?

Each run's 80 m and 2 m temperatures show whether the air is likely to hold the fog down. It is shown as a guide; the labels give no number for it.

What data does it use?

Forecasts for your territory's grid cell: an hourly forecast plus up to 146 forecast runs from three independent forecast systems, pooled and judged run by run, 14 days ahead, plus modelled soil moisture.

Can I use my own product's limits?

Yes: Anvil or Duet label numbers, or Custom for yours.
